The Beatles' Memory Survives Despite the Insatiable Appetite of Emperor Gorlock
Comedy Central Insider Blog —
As part of Scottober month, Scott Gairdner gives us a glimpse into what Beatlemania will look like a thousand years from now. I assume the reason there's no Rolling Stones future documentary is because that one just consists of footage of a thousand-year old Keith Richards snorting people for sustenance.
Very good! The Beatles will always be funny, even in the year 2032, when it's revealed their music was the cause of global warming.

Giving The Beatles credit for everything from "Parents Just Don't Understand" to the creation of Mickey Mouse, the video details how the band from Linverton changed history. And with a mop-topped Scottie Pippen replacing Ringo, there's no doubt the world was never the same.

This could not be more brilliant. Also, I sincerely hope I will live to see the day when Poet Laureate/Cyborgs are interviewed for History Channel programs.

1,000 years from now, when they look back at the Beatles, they'll fondly remember their contributions to the zeitgeist such as: winning the SuperBowl at Shea Stadium and inventing the "thumbs up."
